1371 Squadron

The Commanding Officer of 1371 Girvan Squadron is Flight Lieutenant Alex Lobban, his staff are Adult Sergeant Isabella Wilson and Civilian Instructors, Pertherbridge, McBride, Ferguson, Wilson, Jenkins and McEwan.

The Squadron meets every Monday and Friday 19:00 (7:00pm) until 21:00 (9:00pm), the Squadron address is :- Ailsa Street East, Girvan, Ayrshire. KA26 9DF.

The squadron takes part in many activities including Sports, Adventure Training, Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme this is in addition to the normal syllabus of Aviation based subjects. Projects include squadron newsletter, training aids and taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.

On the first night a new cadet will be given a presentation of the squadron by a senior cadet, given a tour of the premises and then introduced to the cadets from there they will participate in the activities.

If you are between 13 years and 17.5 years and you have ever wanted to try powered flying or gliding or wanted to learn new skills like map reading, first aid, leadership etc. then the ATC should be your next stop.
